How to Clean Up After Christmas

House Cleaning after Christmas Time

The holidays are the time of year when family and friends come together in celebration. It’s joyous and full of love… but also full of messes. In my years as a cleaning lady I have discovered plenty of tips and tricks for how to clean up your home after Christmas. I’d like to share a few of them with you today. If you have not enough time & energy for house cleaning, contact professional maid service for help – Pure 1 House Cleaning Services Schaumburg, IL. Below is a list of tips & tricks how to clean up aftert Christmas:

• Check your carpet and furniture for stains immediately. The longer stains sit, the harder they are to clean. If you catch them right away, a mixture of warm water and mild dishwashing liquid should do the trick.
• Take down the tree carefully. Be sure to wrap up your ornaments. Rushing through the process can result in broken ornaments, and thus broken glass to clean up.
• Wipe down all surfaces and doorknobs. People have likely used every table for cooking and eating. As such, these need to be wiped down. Winter is also prime time for illness and more guests means more germs. Clean off all doorknobs.
• Use the time to declutter. As you are putting away all of your new gifts, take the time to get rid of a few things you no longer need or use. These can be recycled or donated to those in need for more holiday spirit.

Cleaning the Bathroom Tiles

Bathroom Cleaning Tips: Bathroom Tiles

There are not much people who are keen on cleaning the bathroom, but on the other hand, everyone likes to use it when it’s clean. In the most of our bathrooms, tiles are an integral component. We got tiles on the floor, but also on the walls, under shower or near sink as a blacksplash. Today we gonna learn how to clean bathroom tiles on your own, with cleaning products available in every house.

The mixture for bathroom tiles cleaning

The easiest to produce, but also the most effective mixture is simply mixing vinegar and baking soda with water. In order to simplify use, you can put it in a spray bottle. Vinegar is a typical degreaser, and baking soda is for scouring the surface and eliminating bad odours. With this said, we can start cleaning our bathroom tiles. Spray the tiles with prepared cleaning mixture and wait few minutes, so it can sink and start working. After 5-10 minutes come back and start washing it with harsh sponge.

There is another, even more powerful mixture for old and dried stains. You will need paste of bleach and bicarbonate of soda. The bleach plays disinfectant role and will make your tiles white again. After aplying the mixture, leave the room for at least one hour. Remember about being careful, wearing a mask and provide good ventilation of a bathroom.

“How to Make Housecleaning Checklist”

Cleaning Tips & Tricks

Cleaning. Everyone goes about it differently. And if you think about it, it makes sense. Everyone’s home is different after all, right? But professional house cleaners, recommend one important addition to your house cleaning regimen: making a house cleaning checklist. Here are some simple steps to complete that.

Make a list of all the rooms in your home. This seems simple, but is a very easily overlooked step. If you live in a studio apartment, your checklist will look very different than someone living in a four-bedroom home!
Inventory the items in each room that needs to be cleaned. Don’t forget anything. Some things are obvious, like floors, countertops, toilets, and tubs. But others are not (windowsills, rugs, the top of the fridge). Include everything!
Decide how frequently each task needs to be performed. Some good categories include: daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly.

Pick a cleaning strategy that works for you.If you need a quick and efficient house cleaning service Schaumburg, IL, call Pure 1 House Cleaning Services. Are you the type of person who likes to clean a little bit every day? Or are you the type who likes to go on a cleaning binge? Different personality types have different preferences, which is absolutely fine! Consider creating a list designed every day or once a week.

That’s it! Every house cleaning checklist will be different, but that’s part of the fun. And be aware that your list may grow over time. You’re bound to forget one or two of those quarterly or yearly tasks. Don’t let that discourage you. Happy cleaning!

Three Benefits of Hiring a House Cleaning Service

Why Hire House Cleaning Service

It used to be that house cleaning services were reserved for the very wealthy. Luckily for the majority of us, that is no longer the case! There are a wide variety of house cleaning services available at all price points! If you don’t know any reliable house cleaning service in Schaumburg, call Pure 1 House Cleaning Services Schaumburg, IL. Today, I would like to share with you a few reasons why I think the average person should hire a house cleaning service.

  1. Saving time. Many of us work full time jobs. If you have children, you then want to spend time with them when you are off of work, not just cleaning. Additionally, leaving the cleaning to someone else allows you to have guests over without worrying about the state of your home.
  2. Better mental health. Recent studies have proven that clutter can add to depression and anxiety. With the amount of things going on in the average life, it is easy to allow cleaning to fall to the bottom of the to do list. But that just adds to stress. Why suffer?
  3. Best left to the professionals. Everyone knows the basics of cleaning, but are you truly doing everything right? Professionals are trained what products to use and how to get the cleanest clean-every time.

How to remove red wine stains from the carpet

remove-red-wine-stains-wool-carpetCleaning the wine from carpet

We’ve all done it, knocked a wine glass over on a white rug or light carpet. After you let out your wail of frustration from wasting wine, try to prevent wine stains on your carpet by following my simple insutrctions!

  1. Blot it up! My husband has the worst habit of ‘wiping’ up stains, just grinding the liquid further into the carpet. Instead, immediately start to blot from the outside in to contain the stain and minimize any staining as much as possible.
  2. When no more wine is coming out onto your paper towel or rag, add some water! Not only will this dilute the wine to lighten the color but it will help bring the wine that is deep into the carpet fibers back up to the surface.

Still dirty?

If there is still wine, put some salt on the spot to draw out the moisture. You should do this right after blotting as if the stain is dry there will be no moisture to pull up! When you can’t get rid of the stains from your carpet, consider calling professional carpet cleaning service like Near Me Carpet Cleaning Services Chicago, IL. Alternatively, you can try a baking soda solution made up of 1 part baking soda to 3 parts water. Cover with a cloth and put something heavy on top of the cloth to drive the baking soda into the carpet fibers. Vacuum the area up the next day and voila! The stain should be lifted.
